about jane

jane bari has enjoyed a life-long passion for colour, form and texture as a wearable bead embroidery jewellery artist, pastel and acrylic painter, indie wool dyer, mixed media felt artist, horticulturalist, casual gardener, published author and lover of all dogs and wee creatures. Member of the Australian Society of Marine Artists.

jane has an enduring passion for the word and has recently published her book, “Budget, Cook Grow: A blueprint for creating a resilient lifestyle that will thrive through life’s ups and downs” to validate her prepper based lifestyle that has eradicated debt entirely from her family’s existence.

jane declares she must be in contact with animals, birds, trees, water and the earth for her general well-being; along with spending part of every single day of the year in her riotously abundant workroom that is replete with inspirational colour.

“When you look, see and acknowledge colour in your life, you see creative possibility and experience an abundance of joy.”

PLAN TO VISIT?

I live in Wonthaggi, approximately 137 kms south east of Melbourne, Victoria. Wonthaggi is a bustling little former coal mining town that sits around 7 kilometres from Bass Strait. I have some information notes in the FAQ part of this website if you plan to visit me whilst you are down this way. Please read the notes and then shoot me an email via the CONTACT page to book a time. I regularly open my studio for book, felting supplies and finished felted paintings sales. I also open my studio for fellow artists who just want to visit and connect. If you intend to visit and make an appointment, please do not wear any perfume, scented hand cream, scent filled hair products or hairspray at all as the chemical sensitivity I live with will cause me a lot of allergic grief and asthma for days after your visit.
