Another joy to design and create.  Felted wrap in warm tones.  The wrap has been finished off with colour work at each end.  The middle part of the wrap is plain finish but has a variety of colourways embedded in the design.  I spend a lot of time in layering up colours into my felt wraps and this wrap took an entire day to lay out even before considering the laborious felting process to follow.  This is 18 micron Australian Merino wool which I hand dyed last summer.  The wrap also contains viscose elements for added visual interest.  There are a variety of subtle colour variations in this wrap.  There is a matching bead embroidered brooch designed specially for this wrap.  I incorporated a lot of teals in this brooch as it picks up on the teal element at each end of the wrap itself.  The bead embroidery brooch is my speciality as this is how I spend a good deal of my year – designing and creating one of a kind bead embroidery jewellery.  The brooch contains semi precious Chrysocolla, Howlite and a freshwater pearl.  The brooch will not be repeated in design at all.

DIMENSIONS:

This is a larger wrap, measuring approximately 2 metres in length.  The width varies from 49 to 56 centimetres.  Once again, all the edges are freeform organic style.  There is no fringe.
